ADT Introduces Sensor-Ink Mini Tag
Sensormatic products from ADT are here, and full of new, innovative ideas for retailers. Now the Sensormatic products add another great addition to the lineup, the Sensor-Ink Mini tag. The Sensor-Ink Mini tag is an incredible small theft deterrent that is lightweight and can be used on a wide selection of materials, such as lace or denim.
The Sensor-Ink Mini tag is crafted of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) enclosed in a small vial for high-impact. The vial is plastic, so everyday handling will not break it, however, the ink is very aggressive and leaves a permanent stain. Unlike some other anti-theft tags, the ink in the Sensor-Ink Mini tag is non-toxic and non-flammable. It also is non-freezable, so thieves can’t get away with standard methods of disposal. To further discourage theft, the Sensor-Ink Mini tag has a written warning on it that is extremely visible and unique. Retailers can take off the vial by an eyelet tack that surrounds the vial and has an open head.
ADT Security’s National Retail Manager, Phil Brown, states that “This type of tagging is cost effective and beneficial for fashion retailers. As well as ruining the stolen item so that no benefit can be derived from stealing it, the tag also acts as a deterrent in the store with its highly visual warning.”
If you are an existing customer with the EAS (Sensormatic Electronic Article Surveillance) system, the Sensor-Ink Mini tag easily is incorporated into your current system. It can also be used by itself, as a standalone product. This is done with a locking mechanism such as a clamp or clutch.
