Oyster Bay Gets ADT

ADT is helping the Long Island town of Oyster Bay keep its residents safe by installing security systems that feature video surveillance cameras. These systems will be utilized in areas that are susceptible to crime, and seek to help the town better-manage its resources. Parks, beaches and other public areas will be under 24-hour surveillance by ADT Security Systems. Wireless technology will be used to monitor isolated areas of Oyster Bay, including John Burns Town Park and Tobay Beach. By utilizing wireless technology, as opposed to wired systems, the city of Oyster Bay will be able to save money while keeping its nearly 300,000 residents and frequent visitors safe. Over 50,000 individuals visit Oyster Bay’s beaches daily during summer months.

ADT monitored equipment will keep a watchful eye several of the waterfront community’s 183 parks and seven beaches. America’s #1 security provider, ADT, began working with New York State as an approved contractor more than five years ago.
