Home Security Mobile Apps Guide

Today’s alarm monitoring systems include the latest technology for better home security. The popularity and convenience of remote home monitoring is on the rise, giving way to a variety of mobile apps by the different security providers.

Mobile apps provide the platform for remote home monitoring, which allows users to check and manage their home security systems from virtually any location (so long as there is a Wi-Fi connection on a compatible smartphone, tablet or laptop).

Mobile monitoring allows a range of remote features, which includes the following capabilities:

Prior to this, home-monitoring systems had no remote functions. Systems had to be physically armed and disarmed at that specific home location. Once the homeowner left the property, they had no way of knowing the status of their alarm system. Mobile apps provide the means of knowing what’s happening 24/7. And it let’s you engage with the system afar.

Proprietary Apps: proprietary apps are apps created by a specific security company for their own monitoring system. These apps are independently managed and updated by that security provider.
